Shelhaven is a small hobby
kennel which is located in Rawdon, Nova
Scotia. At Shelhaven, our first and main
concern is the health of our dogs. Our
Shelties are screened for genetic disorders,
such as hip dysplasia, vWD, and eye
abnormalities before they are bred.
Temperament is extremely important. Our
dogs live in our home and are very much a part
of our family. They enjoy car rides and
walks at parks. All puppies are born and
raised in our dining room where they are very
well socialized and prepared when time comes to
go to their new
homes.
Our focus is to produce
happy, healthy puppies that are conformationally
correct with loving temperaments. Our puppies
are available for conformation, obedience, and
companionship. We provide written health
guarantees and lifetime
support.

We purchased our first
sheltie at 8 weeks of age in 1993 from Linda and
James Schrader of Sunnyseas Reg'd. Her name was Sunnyseas Sasha In Satin CDX, CGC, 'Sasha'. In
1994, she obtained her CD with 6 HIC's and a
HIT. Her CDX title came quickly for her in 1995
with more HIC's to her credit. Sasha was a once
in a lifetime girl and was perfect in every way
to us. She will always be known as "the dearest"
or "the princess".
In 1995, we aquired our
first show girl Ch Sunnyseas Interlude Shelhaven
CD "Josie".
We are members in good
standing with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC),
the Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association
(CSSA), the American Shetland Sheepdog
Association (ASSA), and the Halifax Kennel Club
(HKC). |
